If you were to look at the Nokia Lumia 900 and 800 from a distance you might not be able to tell the difference, ignoring the size difference of course. That is why the Nokia Lumia 900 is seen much as an improvement on the 800 version that was released sometime back. This phone is a flagship of the Nokia America and it has been specifically made for the US market. This is according to the regional head who said during its release that it had the American consumer in mind when developing it. It is currently only available with AT&T.
In terms of looks, there are very few changes that have been made from the 800 model that had been released sometime back. There are however some key factors that will certainly stand out. First of all, it is quite big in order to accommodate the 4.3 inch display. It is also much slender than the predecessor. The weight of the 800 was 148 grams but the Nokia Lumia 900 weighs 160 grams. This is an increase. The design of the 900 version is very curvy meaning that handling it will be much easier despite the huge size. The slim design also means that it can be very portable. The capacitive touch buttons have been pushed quite down in this version but this does not mean that it is difficult to operate the phone. At the back, you will get two see the camera and two LED flash which is the same as the 800 model. Another feature that is different from most of the previous Nokia handsets is that the secondary camera which is usually at the bottom has been placed on the top right corner. The left side panel contains the volumes keys, camera key and well as the power or lock button. The right side has got no button.
Display of the Lumia 900
The display that has been used for the Nokia Lumia 900 is simply awesome. They went for an AMOLED display unit for the best resolution. The display has a dimension of 4.3 inches and a resolution of 480 x 800. This means that it is approximately 217 ppi. It supports 16M colors and the touchscreen is capacitive with multi-touch capability. In order to make sure that screen will be able to last long, it is made of the corning Gorilla. To ensure that the display is simply the best there is in the market, they also used the Nokia Clear Black display technology.
Performance of the Nokia Lumia 900
When it comes to the matter of performance, the one fact that stands out is the battery that powers the entire device. It is non-removable and has a capacity of 1830 mAh. This implies that one will be able to get as much as 12 days on stand-by, 7 hours talk time and 60 hours of music play. Nokia Lumia 900 runs on a 1.4 GHz Scorpion CPU. The GPU on the other hand is Adreno 205 and the chipset is Qualcomm. It does allow microSD memory and runs only on the internal 16 GB there is. The Nokia Lumia 900 is a must have.
